(Proximity Sensor) Every recording is given a unique name based on the time stamp at the moment the recording starts so you will always have a new file for each session. Phone will use the proximity sensor to sense if the position of your phone is within a couple of cm of an object (like putting your phone face down on a desk) and when you turn your phone away it will automatically turn off the recording and ask if you wish to play the new file.
