Quickly push and release both volume buttons at the same time to switch between Vibrate and Normal. This may only work when the screen is on.
Your phone gives your feedback when you set the ringer mode: it vibrates once quickly when vibrate mode is set, and vibrates three times quickly when normal mode is set.
This flow requires permissions to interact with elements on the screen so it can quickly dismiss the volume slider that appears when toggling the ringer mode.
