It's a lovely idea to use .nomedia to switch on/off some folders from VLC player as far as there's videos I keep just as archive material. Unfortunately, its realisation in the app, I mentioned above, is complicated and works only for the folders on the first level. So, I took the idea and rebuild it for my own needs. Choose the folder to switch on/off - Deal! The chosen folder is stored as an atomic value. So next time you'll get right to the previous place.
