This flow discourages access to selected apps by repeatedly simulating the Home button whenever a “protected” app is opened, forcing the user back to the home screen.

Entering the correct password grants X minutes of temporary, unrestricted use before the protection automatically resumes.

This flow does not close apps or provide true security; it simply creates a lightweight deterrent that may be useful on non-rooted devices.

⒈ Edit block #2 by entering the package ID of each app you want to “lock”. To find these IDs, use an “App installed?” block and select the apps by name from the package list. Then copy each package ID and paste it into the “apps” array variable.

⚠️ Never lock the home screen launcher, any window manager, keyboards, or Automate itself.

⒉ In block #14, set your numeric password and the duration of unrestricted access. By default, the password is “1234” and the timeout is 4 minutes.
