Being skeptical about root commands is fair, so I will explain what each used in this flow does!

Lines starting with "cp" copy a file.

"mount -o rw,remount /system" and
"mount -o ro,remount /system"
These lines mount the "/system" partition as chmod for read-write and read-only respectively

I hope this removes any doubts about what this does.
