You may choose to play a sound, vibrate and/or turn flashlight on.
To start monitoring you'll need to click the notification that appers when you plug in. Or dismiss it if you don't.
When battery charge is above the limit set, it will alert.
To stop the alarm you just need to unplug from power.
It is designed to keep running all the time.
