Send network packets through my app "UDP/TCP Widget" (download required).
The app can be used to control DIY microcontroller boards. In combination with "Automate" it can act as a home automation hub.
Example: a light or heater that turns itself on as soon as you get home.
The possibilities are endless and you don't need the expensive hardware that they sell in stores...
