The flow opens the YouTube (YT) Music app and resumes playing when a Bluetooth (BT) device gets connected.
Prerequisites to make it work:
1) Installed the YT Music app
2) BT 🎧 or any other BT device
3) Enabled BT on your phone
Setup (only once):
1) Choose a BT device
Open the second step in the flow, "When BT device connected" and pick a BT device. The dialog window lists all trusted BT devices. Choose one.
When that device gets connected, the flow will be triggered.
2) Remove the device name
Keep only the device address in the second step. Delete the device name.
Again, after selecting a BT device, make sure the device name field is empty and only the device address is set.
3) Save the flow.
4) Make sure all required permissions are granted to the Automate app and all are checked.
5) Exclude the YT Music app from battery optimizations.
6) Start the flow.
7) Test the flow.
From my experience, it works pretty well when you connect your BT 🎧, and your phone is unlocked.
Then it will resume playing even if your phone is locked and you reconnect 🎧 next time.
It does not start playing music automatically when you pair 🎧 the first time, and your phone is locked.
The good part is that the YT Music app always starts.
So the workaround is to press the play button on your 🎧 if you have any to start playing music.
Then it should work again if your phone is locked.
Make sure the YT Music app is excluded from battery optimizations.
Anyway, give it a try and provide feedback to me.
Also, when the YT Music app quits unexpectedly and does not show the play bar at the bottom when you reopen it, the flow will not resume playing. Again press the play button on your BT 🎧 to start playing music.
Feel free to tweak the flow to open TIDAL or Spotify instead of the YT Music app.
Keep dancing 🕺💃🕺💃🕺 :)
