This tool allows you to turn on the flashlight by pressing the power button and the volume button in sequence.

The way it works is that when you wake up the phone (but don't unlock it) and press any volume button within one second, the flashlight will turn on and the screen will turn off immediately. To turn off the flashlight, just wake up the phone again and press any volume button, but this time without a time limit. (Depending on whether or not you are on the lockscreen, the screen will turn off or not.)

Note: Turning on the flashlight works only on the lockscreen. This is to avoid interfering with, e.g., snoozing an alarm. The presence on the lockscreen is checked by the existence of the Emergency call button. I have only tested this tool on Fairphone 4. For other phones, the check may need to be modified.
