Non-Root users: Enable privileged access method by wireless debugging in Automate settings.
Might require root only in case your device doesn't support Wi-Fi and network state changes and the privileged automate workaround via wireless debugging doesn't work.
If wifi changing doesn't work, go into Automate settings and try another privileged workaround options for Wi-Fi.

A battery saving flow, that dynamically manages Wi-Fi, Mobile Data and 2G/3G/LTE/5G network, and comes with dynamic background sync without disturbing deep sleep.
Never miss notifications or messages, while saving way more battery, than usually possible.
Use my "Flow Controller" flow to manage the flow via a notification.
Best to be paired with "Intelligent Wi-Fi enabler", but also works great with any flow for Wi-Fi management (e.g. "Location Based Wi-Fi Toggler" or "self-learning Wi-Fi control").
More Technical Details:
WI-FI connected ->disable mobile data -> set 2G --- keep it that way, also when screen off & device locked.
WI-FI disconnected -> WI-FI OFF -> set default network (4G/5G) -> enable mobile data --- screen off & device locked -> disable mobile data -> set 2G -> set default network (4G/5G) & enable mobile data for ~1 min every ~15 minutes (no wake lock, inexact timer to save power).
Recognizes whenever you use mobile data or Wi-Fi, so you don't have to disable or enable the one, you don't currently use, manually.
It prolongues my battery life by up to 30%.

If you have trouble with mobile data, open the "mobile data set state" blocks (14, 18, 19) and select your provider.
If you have trouble with the network state, open the "network set state" blocks (12, 13, 17, 21) and try to pick options suitable for your device.
