If you have been using this app for awhile and have had to use either the google group or the reddit forums for help you'd know that getting help quickly isn't really something you can expect.
This is why I want to propose an Official Discord for Automate. Think about it. The developer (LlamaLab) is a solo developer. He spends a lot of time answering sometimes very simple flow questions. This takes time from where he could be doing other things like working on the app itself. Can you imagine how much faster updates would happen if he was able to focus solely on developing rather than also answering people's questions?
Another thing is, for the more long term users of Automate, wouldn't you have a lot of fun helping newer users with flows, making guides etc? Plus, with a Discord we could have challenges, events, and things like that.
Also this app is seriously lacking an easy way to communicate within the community. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to talk to people about the app in real time? Possible megaprojects could be made with that.
If the developer wanted to, he could also run polls or ideas much easier through the community so that we could contribute more to the app as a community. The developer could also address the community much easier than he could now where he'd have a much more direct and easier to find way of announcing various things if needed.
All in all the reasons for a Discord are a long long long list.
I have asked the developer a few times and I don't think he believes it would be very helpful for him or the community.
So you, a member of the Automate community. If you'd like to see this, download the flow for the invite link and comment on what you'd like about having a Discord. It's been a long time coming so let's get it going!
