Tracks and charts your speed while you're in motion, such as when walking, running, in a vehicle, or flying. When the Start Tracking Speed flow is started, a notification is displayed which shows your current speed in miles or kilometers per hour, with its icon indicating your current activity. You can set how many minutes of inactivity after which the notification will be closed; a negative value indicates that it will always be displayed.
From the notification, you can stop speed tracking, chart your speed, or hide the notification. You can show the notification again using the Show Notification flow. The speed tracker flow has very little effect on battery life, and your data never leaves the device.
The Speed Chart flow displays a chart showing your speed by activity and its five-point moving average. You can switch between the different kinds of charts using the buttons at the top of the graph, and tapping repeatedly on the Line and Bar chart buttons will alternate them between horizontal and vertical orientations. Charting intervals of 5, 15, 30, 60, and 120 samples can be chosen by tapping on the number button below the chart. Long-pressing that button rotates the intervals in reverse, and long-pressing the Forward and Back buttons slides the window by one speed sample or half the window size.
The individual datasets can be shown or hidden by tapping on their colored buttons in the legend. Tapping on a datapoint will show your speed and average speed at that point. Weekend days are highlighted. Your display preferences are saved if you press OK to close the chart, and can be cleared by tapping the gear button.
